Visit to Eastern Kentucky University Training Resource Center

The School of Social Work Title-IVE Administrative team from Georgia State University visited Eastern Kentucky University to learn about their University Training Consortium (UTC).  EKU partners with 13 institutions in Kentucky and the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, Department for Community Based Services (DCBS). The UTC and DCBS provided the Title- IV-E administrative team with information surrounding to the Public Child Welfare Certification Program (PCWCP) and the Credit for Learning (CFL) program (Protection & Permanency New Employee Academy and the Advanced Supervisor Series).  Also, the UTC and the DCBS shared general administrative activities including proposal development, sub-contracting with university partners, funding streams, budgeting, evaluation, course development, recordkeeping, and oversight. The administrators from GSU are in the process of forming a university-based system comparable UTC to provide Schools of Social work with enhanced education and professional development to Department of Family and Children Services Workforce in Georgia.
